Stay Compliant with the New Companies House ID Verification Rules

Many accounting firms will rely on IDVT software to verify the identity of their director clients. Alternatively, accountants could ask clients to ID themselves using the government website. Some firms, however, do not have access to IDVT software, and some clients may not want to use a website or software. There may also be cases where software indicates a problem that could be easily verified if the firm can verify ID documents in accordance with the Companies House legal requirements.

With that in mind, 20:20 Innovation are offering 6 training courses, each with a limited number of delegate places available.

These courses will provide training written by experts in Home Office ID document verification requirements, enabling delegates to ID their clients in accordance with the requirements for an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) not using IDVT software. Book your place today.

Note that only attendees on the course will be in position to assess physical documents for the purposes verifying ID under Companies House rules for an ACSP, and not any others in the firm. Also, the firm must make its own decisions about when to verify the ID of directors and beneficial owners, given the risk of each client / individual, and ensure that it complies with the documentation requirements, as discussed in the course.

Thank you for the certificate and notes. The course was excellent and extremely informative. I have to say that the thought of a 4-hour session was a little daunting however, very good use was made of all the time, and the speaker was first class!
