Tackling sustainability and retention in accountancy

Accounting professionals like you are facing a sustained period of change. At 20:20 Innovation we approach change in a few key ways.

Change brings about challenges. Retaining and attracting the best talent in accounting is necessary for businesses to remain competitive in today’s rapidly changing sustainable environment. Employee retention and employee turnover in accountancy are likely to be impacted by changes to CPD and regulation.

Change, however, also creates opportunities. Accountants who embrace change and incorporate new technologies into their businesses gain a competitive advantage.

The theme of our Spring Conference 2024 is People, Practice, Profits and Planet. A team of highly respected keynote speakers will guide attendees through a whole range of topics, including:

  • New ways of working.
  • Different approaches to attracting and retaining talent.
  • A change in required skill sets.
  • Implementing technology.
  • Ever-growing demands from clients and each other.

Attendees to our Spring Conference will come away from the day understanding how to put people first and how we can make our accounting practices work better for everyone.

Green is the New Gold

Georgina McLeod

Sharon Cooke

Sustainability not only protects our planet. Creating a sustainable practice can also help to develop or enhance a "brand" or culture in a way that can be very attractive to clients and team members.

The development of skills and resources in relation to the environmental, economic and social dimensions can also lay the foundation for a new advisory service to clients.

The collective benefits to the planet, profits and people are known as the 'triple bottom line' and in this session our Technical Director Sharon Cooke looks at what top practices are already doing and introduces leading Sustainability Consultant, Georgina Mcleod, to talk about how to practically boost each component of the Triple Bottom Line, whether starting at the beginning or mid-way through the journey.
