Objectives

The course aims to refresh delegates on the ethical framework that underpins ICAEW and ACCA members’ requirements. Then using these principles and practical examples, assist individuals in reflecting on various situations and consider the appropriate response.

For ICAEW members, the course will meet the requirement for at least 1 hour of Ethics CPD a year.

The course will cover the following points, using practical examples throughout:

  • Overview of IFAC and professional bodies’ ethical frameworks
  • Reminder of the core principles
  • Identification of ethical threats as it applies to different kinds of work
  • Suggested responses to ethical threats at firm and assignment level
  • Interaction between ethical requirements and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations
