Habits shape much of what we do, often without us consciously thinking about it. This session explores the science of habit formation and how it can be applied to everyday life and work. Participants will learn a practical toolkit for building positive habits, and shaping their environment to make better behaviours easier to sustain.
• To understand the habit loop (cue-routine-reward) and how to engineer it deliberately.
• To apply habit stacking to embed new behaviours alongside existing routines.
• To design a personal 30-day experiment for at least one high-value behaviour.
• The neuroscience of habit: why habits form, persist and are so difficult to change.
• The habit loop: cue, routine, reward, and how to redesign it intentionally.
• Habit stacking: attaching new behaviours to existing anchors for maximum stickiness.
• The 30-day habit experiment: a practical framework for making one new behaviour automatic.
Anyone who wants to build more effective habits and routines that support the way they work and live.
